Terms of sale

Who is selling, what the licence allows, what updates you get and who answers when something breaks.

Who is selling

The seller is Andrii Osypenko, a sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Ukraine, trading as CLOUD RIFT. Everything sold in this shop is made, licensed and supported by that one person, referred to below as "we".

The address for anything to do with an order is hello@cloudrift.team.

Who processes the payment

Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, named at the checkout. It takes the payment, calculates and charges any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are, and sends the receipt.

The provider's own terms apply to the payment itself, alongside these. Where the two cover the same thing (payment, tax, chargebacks) the provider's terms decide. Where they are about the product itself (the licence, updates, support) these do.

What you are buying

Digital products only: plugins and tools for motion design software, and the guides that come with them. Nothing is shipped.

Each product page says what is in the download, which versions of which software it supports, and what it costs. That page, as it stood when you bought, is the description the product is sold against.

Delivery

Immediately after payment you are sent to a page that shows your licence key and a download link. The same key is also emailed to the address you gave at checkout.

If nothing has arrived within an hour, look in spam first, then write to hello@cloudrift.team with the order number from your receipt. A missing link is a problem with an email, not with your purchase, and it is fixed the same day.

The licence

Buying a product gets you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. The licence is for one person, or for one studio: a single business and the people working in it on its own projects.

Commercial use is allowed and is the point: use the product on client projects, adverts, broadcasts, films, anything you are paid for. What you make with a product is yours and carries no restriction from us.

A licence key works on up to two computers at a time. A computer can be released from the key in the product, which frees the place for another.

What is not allowed: reselling the product, redistributing it, or sharing the files or a licence key with anyone outside the licence, including by bundling them into a template, a pack or a product of your own.

Updates

Updates within the major version you bought are free. Buy version 1 and every 1.x release is yours at no extra cost; version 2, if there is one, may be sold as an upgrade.

Updates for a product you own are announced by email to the address you bought with. That is part of the purchase, not a mailing list.

Compatibility

Every product page lists the versions of the host software and the operating systems it supports. Check them before buying. A product that does not run on a version its page never claimed is not a fault in the product.

Supported versions are tested, not assumed. New releases of the host software are added to the list once they have been tested, and not before.

Support

By email, at hello@cloudrift.team. You will have an answer within three business days, from the person who wrote the product.

Support covers installing the product, activating the key and getting the product to work as described.

Refunds

If a product does not work as described on a supported version and support cannot fix it, you can have your money back within 14 days. The conditions and how to ask are on the refund policy.

After a refund the key stops working, and the plugin returns to its watermarked mode within a day of its next online licence check. A computer without internet access keeps working until it next connects, and for no longer than seven days.

No warranty

Products are provided as they are. They are built carefully and used on real work first, but no software is free of faults, and we do not promise that a product will run without interruption or error, or that it suits a purpose its page does not describe.

Keep backups of your projects. That is good practice with any plugin, and it is assumed here.

Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for anything to do with a product is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: lost profit, lost data, missed deadlines, or a render that has to be done again.

Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away a right you have as a consumer where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and disputes about them go to the courts of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in still apply to you.

Before any of that, write to hello@cloudrift.team. Almost everything is solved in a reply.

If this changes

The date at the top is when these terms were last changed. An order is governed by the terms as they stood on the day it was placed; a later change never applies to a purchase already made.
